Like any shelter or animal welfare agency, Dark Horse Rescue is limited in space and resources. We try to reserve space for horses in immediate need. However, due to high demand, we often lack in quarantine space. Each horse that enters our program must first go through a quarantine process in order to prevent spread of disease. If quarantine is unavailable, we are unable to take horses at that time.
Dark Horse Rescue works closely with several North Mississippi county law enforcement offices. If you are aware of a situation that needs immediate attention, please contact the local sheriff's department. Please be prepared to provide the address and a brief description of the reason for your call. Callers may remain anonymous upon request.
Together, we can build brighter futures. . . one stride at a time!
